Henri and Henrietta

A new story is coming up in Tales. Be on the look out! While I am working on the story I have made the illustration above. I love to visualize my characters and sketch the fairy tale and make collages while they are taking shape, rather than illustrating them afterwards. I work the other way around: Story pops in my mind, but while I tell the story to myself I like to draw and make collages, most of the time my story alters completely, I think most of the time a better story comes out. Sometimes, the story disappears and I make a lovely collage instead. Or, I throw the whole thing in the garbage and I spare minds and eyes from further pollution.
