Babette’s New Friends
Every spring new "ma ma ba ba ma" sounds trickle from the hill to our delight. Tiny hoofs run in unison to the little pound stop at its edge for a refreshing drink then they munch and munch all day. They are bred for their milk thank goodness and not for their meat, otherwise we would have been too sad. Babette gets most excited here on the other side of the stone wall, she puts her front paws up and wings her tail. But, one look at her, they glide down the hill like pink yarns away from us. Of course I don't let her join them as she would herd them back inside their stable!!! She finally has become a fierce sheepdog!
Above illustration benefits Oxfam, one of our favorite organizations.
You can find the illustration in our store, printed on variety of items such as cards, journals and mugs and perhaps you prefer to take the little lambs home with you? Visit our Shop. Keep in mind: shopping at Babette&friends benefits" Nature and Wild things.
